Always an Original.
Over the last few decades we have created a few logos, branding and small business identities. A few were created during a sign quote. Some, perhaps most, of those seen here were simply proposed designs but I felt each complete enough to show here. Most of these businesses had already named their business long before contacting us. The challenge is often in very long names. Few realize that space is limited on a truck door, business card, stationary or product label and thus their long name can compromise readability. Even more importantly humans more easily remember graphic shapes and rely less on memorizing words. Try reading and remembering a long name on a sign as you drive by at 65 mph! To make it even more problematic a long name will be much smaller on a sign further reducing its readability. Some of the images below are so old the current version of the software was unable to open the files! This is not an issue with “Adobe” products but my favorite software seems to fall flat here. Fortunately I still had a almost 20 year old PC with the older software on it so I was able to recover some of my designs, but it is a laborious process not to mention the time required digging through archival data. All the logos you will see at this website were created by myself with the exceptions of “Mass Central Railroad, Guinness Breweries, Newport Opera House and most but not all military and city seals. There are more to come!
