The artwork below was created for a customer of my
firefighter friend. He was using his rescue equipment for
his training business. He requested that we provide him
with a logo, branding, a DVD cover and a design for a
small trade show booth. We also created a promotional
video complete with animated graphics and lower third
titling.
A very talented friend of mine was creating video disks of
his hobby. I created the following covers for him with a
branded theme. I’m not sure what, if anything ever came
of these designs but they were ready for offset printing.
The DVD and artwork below was included with a
comprehensive proposal to restore the only remaining
“sister” train set to the historic train I was working on. It
was far less complete than the project I was managing. It
was little more than an empty shell.
Because the original power plant was gone and unique
to this train making it operate again was unlikely. I
presented the then new idea of using hybrid power using
a diesel generator and batteries to power the train. This
concept would greatly minimize structural changes to
this historic train while preserving the ability for future
historians to reverse the changes.
It was one of the first passenger diesel trains. I realized
then it could once again claim a “first” title. Ironically this
technology and batteries have progressed enough to
today to make it even more viable.
OFFSET/SCREEN/DIGITAL
PRINTING DESIGN & SERVICE
The printing industry in the United States was once quite
large. Offset and letterpress print shops could be easily
found in even the smallest of cities and towns. Sadly this
trade and the business has nearly disappeared along
with magazines and newspapers. Today most printing is
done on large digital printers and large scale printing is
outsourced overseas. The images below are just a few we
designed in the past.
